We received an email at 1:22am on a Thursday morning from a shopping centre operations team, with an urgent job that needed to be delivered by midday the next day. They needed us to measure a fruit shop at Stockland’s Wetherill Park Shopping Centre. By the time we had read the email at 8:30am on Thursday morning, we had exactly 28 hours for delivery. Our staff are generally booked two days in advance on other jobs but by moving things around we put a plan into action and accepted the challenge.
All our cars and gear were out at other client jobs on the Thursday, so after all those tasks were finished, the Realserve team headed over to Wetherill Park late in the afternoon. Fruit shops are always tricky to measure as they are always busy with shoppers and workers stocking shelves. Cool rooms and back of house loading areas also create their own logistical headaches.
The client was very happy when they received the drawings at 10:15am the next day confirming its measurements. We delivered the result in less than 24 hours of having been given the go ahead for the job. Being so impressed, centre management have passed on our details to their Stockland colleagues and we’ve since taking instructions on further Stockland Retail surveys.
