Pushing Boundaries

QLD lease 2

The Task

Lend Lease had acquired four retirement villages on the Sunshine Coast and Queensland. These required new Lease Plans for each unit to standardise, streamline and re-negotiate new leases. The client required an extremely high volume of plans, with a whopping 1455 units needing to be individually measured over a period of 7 months. The surveys were needed to establish survey control relative to the boundaries, the location of units relative to boundaries & the lease plan preparation suitable for registration.

The Approach

A large scale project, as time and resource intensive as this one, required solid planning & scheduling. We were able to mobilise teams from Queensland and New South Wales as required to keep the project moving and meet monthly milestones. Tasks were broken down and allocated to suitable staff members. Registered surveyors, along with additional helpers and assistants were each allocated different tasks.

The Result

We delivered control, boundary & lease survey to high standards as required and the lease plans were prepared as per the schedule. As you’d expect with a project of this size, we encountered some obstacles along the way. But all issues were resolved without affecting the schedule. Since completing the job, we have commenced work on a 5th village for the client.
